Salcombe is a uniquely beautiful seaside town situated in the South Hams at Devon’s southernmost tip. It is popular with visitors who come to enjoy seaside holidays, walking holidays and watersports all year round. The town offers a variety of accommodation and holiday homes Salcombe are plentiful.
There is a wide variety of self-catering accomodation in Salcombe but our Salcombe cottage is special. Firstly, it is the only one of its kind available to rent, and certainly it is one of very few rental properties directly on the waterfront. It is a delightful early 19th century Grade II listed fisherman’s cottage at the water’s edge, in a sunny south facing position with direct views over the harbour and estuary towards East Portlemouth and South Pool Creek.
The property is situated within a few minutes level walk from the centre of the village with its restaurants, village shops and other amenities including a ferry service to the sandy beaches.
Our Salcombe cottage has been a family holiday home for over thirty years. It is let and managed by the family personally and is our only one. It is not one amongst many other holiday cottages handled by a letting agency.
Our loyal clients believe that the personal service we offer makes a big difference to their stay. We try hard to answer queries and deal with any problems promptly and personally.
All year round it is possible to sit out on the terrace of our Salcombe cottage which overlooks the main harbour. It is remarkably sheltered and the terrace enjoys the sun from early to about 4.30 pm each day in the summer.
Our Salcombe cottage is meticulously maintained and regularly decorated, tastefully and stylishly, to preserve the character of the property. There are original works of art by well known artists hanging throughout. We have put a great deal of thought into comprehensively equipping the cottage but best of all it is right next to the sea!
