Thank you for a wonderful few days - even managing to arrange the weather - brilliant! The boys birthday cards were such a kind touch and they had a blast exploring, crabbing, eating, drinking - which made our few days hugely relaxing - a beautiful cottage in a wonderful spot - the Best - Thank you.

Another lovely stay at Victoria Quay. The boys have had a wonderful time and as always we are sad to leave. Thank you Carol - will be in touch for more adventures next year.
PS bacon worked the best for crabbing off the quay - some amazing results - boys so excited.

What a lovely break we have had - Carol your cottage is delightful and in the most perfect spot!
Salcombe, as ever, is a lovely relaxing town - full of friendly folk and super places to eat.
Thank you.

Peter and Sarah July 2017

Another cracking week in Salcombe - we first came here in 1980 or thereabouts. The hydrangea here is better than ever; the guitar playing seems to have been well received; we have booked of course for 2018 and are looking forward to it already. Thanks Carol and Bob for a great week.
PS This cottage has one of the best views of Salcombe - simply beautiful.

Annabel, Kerin, Charlie and Isabelle June 2017

We have had such a wonderful time here. The cottage had everything we needed and was really cosy - so many admirers for the beautiful rose along the canopy.
We had fun crabbing, mackerel fishing and hired a boat to explore the stunning views. We were luck with the weather and had a fantastic last day building sandcastles on the beach. We are sad to leave this lovely spot.

Mike and Suzie who stayed in October 2017

Once again, thank you so much for what turned out to be a very special week at your cottage. We had lunch outside in the sun on the terrace twice, which one never imagines possible in late October.

The Albery Family who stayed in August 2017

Another wonderful stay at your cottage. The weather has been glorious. We have been to the beach each day and it has been lovely to return to the cottage at the end of each busy day and relax with a glass of wine - whilst the girls held crabbing competitions...we are already looking forward to our return next year!

Lucy who stayed in July 2017

We had the most wonderful time in Salcombe exploring the beautiful beaches and surroundings and staying at your quite lovely cottage-Tabby and I miss our early mornings strolling out on to the front before most people are up! We would love to come back next year-we will compare diaries and come back to you.

Pam, John and Katie who stayed in May 2017

Really hard to leave your lovely cottage this year! The weather has been perfect and to return each day to the rose clad porch - pure joy...thank you for your warm welcome as ever Carol, we have love every minute.

I thought you would enjoy this picture, one of my favourite memories of your beautiful cottage. We all had such a wonderful stay there, it was the perfect place to recharge our batteries.

Julie and Trevor July 2016

Just a quick note to say thank you once again for letting us stay in your lovely cottage. We have had a fabulous week, the weather has been perfect and we have spent a lot of time at the beach and the girls have got very good at crabbing! Izzy really enjoyed her sailing course (with Salcombe dinghy sailing) and definitely wants to do more. The cottage has been lovely to return to at the end of day, for a nice supper and a relaxing evening, watching the world go by.

Liz and Simon Easter 2016

What a Perfect Easter Week Break at this beautiful cottage positioned right on the quay in Salcombe.
We were greeted by the charming owner Carol on our arrival to be given keys, shown round the cottage and given bundles of wonderful local knowledge.
The cottage has everything you need for a very comfortable holiday whilst still keeping its original charm.
It was wonderful to wake up to the beautiful view of the boats and estuary and be able to sit out the front watching the world go by.
The cottage is so well positioned with everything Salcombe has to offer on the doorstep.
There are plenty of good restaurants, cafes, great pubs and bespoke shops, including amazing ice cream and fudge.
Salcombe is surrounded by lovelycoastal walks, ferry crossings, pretty villages to visit, National Trust properties and fabulous beaches.
Our favourite places to eat were the Crab Shed where we had a fabulous Seafood platter and the cream tea at Gara Rock Cafe with warm homemade scones.
Cant recommend this cottage enough - we will be back.

Kate and James Christmas 2014

We've had an absolutely fantastic break at Victoria Quay over Christmas. The cottage was looking beautiful as ever and absolutely immaculate. It's everything we could ever want from holiday accommodation both in the Summer and Winter.

This time we appreciated the cosy log burner and the Christmassy atmosphere with the tree outside, wreaths on the front door and gate and lots of greenery inside. So tastefully done making the cottage feel like a real home-from-home!

The cottage is so well equipped that preparing Christmas Dinner was absolutely no problem at all. We would definitely like to come again at this time of year!

Another brilliant summer holiday in Salcombe - we would rather be here than anywhere else in the world

Your wonderful cottage exceeded our expectations (and they were high!) We could live for ever here - it's idyllic. Thank you for sharing it with us! We yearn to return a.s.a.p. (Susie)
Knew I'd hate to leave the moment I arrived! View mesmerising, cottage gorgeous and Salcombe as stunning as ever. (Helen)

Jane who stayed at the beginning of November 2012

The photos on the website look wonderful - but the cottage is even better in real life. The gas stove in the sitting room is so authentic, we could not believe that it is not a real log stove - it is lovely to have this instant welcome when returning from a bracing winter walk on the beach.

Sue and Malcolm who stayed with their family at the end of August 2012

Dear Mrs Tee - we have been living the dream in your lovely cottage and you even arranged the perfect weather for us! Many, many thanks and very best wishes

Liane from Gloucestershire who stayed with her family in August 2012

We are looking forward to returning next year if you have availability and would like to take this opportunity to thank you for truly one of the best weeks holiday we have ever had - I left Salcombe feeling rejuvenated and have remained in that place since - so huge thanks - 9 Victoria Quay is a magical place but then of course, you already know that!

I look forward to hearing from you.

Sandie and Allen from Hampshire who stayed in May 2012

We just both wanted to say what an adorable cottage 9 Victoria Quay is & that we thoroughly enjoyed our time there overlooking the estuary/water-borne action. Loved it! No.9 is a show-stopper on Victoria Quay with those dream-ticket views. Appreciate the inspired/imaginative interior design & comforts & top-end/thoughtful care & attention from you guys... such a breath-of-fresh air from the big-company letting agencies. Felt like we were staying at a friends cottage!

We shall be back; have this inkling to learn to sail - Sandie & I used to run together & now I'm looking for a new goal. Many thanks.

Celia and Dave: North Yorkshire

Hi Carol and Bob

Thank you for making us feel so welcome in our cottage - we've quite simply fallen in love with it!

The AMAZING bed, duvet, shower, cosy fire, the Kitchen. And the view - lying in bed watching the sunrise over the water every morning and that huge golden moon likewise in the evening.

The weather did us proud - breakfast al fresco every morning - so close to the water it's like being on a mooring! It's oh SO hard to leave this morning.

Debbie and Steve from Worcestershire who stayed in March 2011

Dear Mrs Tee

Thank you for making everything so welcoming for us; we felt like the cottage was a real home from home and settled in immediately.

It is such a charming, homely and well equipped place with views to die for. One of my usual gripes for hotels, villas and cottages we've stayed in over the years is lack of mirrors near plug sockets, with good light where I can sit and do my hair and make up. I was so pleased to find that someone had thought about this for No9 Victoria Quays. Perfect!

Vanessa, Stanmore Middlesex

The cottage was beautiful and I could have played house for ages!

Dear Carol

I hope you got my message yesterday. I just want to say, again, how we loved the cottage and Salcombe and had a lovely weekend. The cottage was beautiful and I could have played house for ages! The location and everything in the cottege enabled us to have a very relaxing and comfortable time and looking out of the window at the boats sailing by was delightful.

We would definitely love to come again and will recommend to family and friends. In fact, while we were sitting on the terrace, someone asked what the cottage was liked and we were happy to sing its praises!

The Gerbich Family, Cheshire

Another brilliant summer holiday in your Salcombe cottage – it must be our fourth year now! It has become a real family tradition for us to come to Salcombe and we would rather be here than anywhere else in the world.

We have been very fortunate with the weather and have enjoyed breakfast on the lovely terrace at the cottage almost every morning.

The children have loved playing on the beach and have built the most spectacular sand sculptures on Mill Bay! We were lucky with the tide and able to make our way round to the Bar on several sunny afternoons to body board.

We just love returning to the cottage after a day on the beach. We enjoy the last of the evening sun with a chilled glass of wine on the terrace whilst the children catch crabs over the sea wall. The record this year was 12 in one evening!

We cannot wait until next year!

Howard Bennett

We had very many happy holidays at no.9 & it will always be our favourite. We are now 80 so don't travel as much but if we think of coming back one day we will certainly get in touch.

I attach a photo illustrating how many enjoyed our tea parties!

Kind Regards

Penny from Suffolk

We loved your cottage and nothing was better than sitting in the front in the sun with our cups of tea and books in the afternoon.

Hamish from London who stayed early February 2010

Thanks again from us both for another delightful week at the cottage. We were spared a single drop of rain and enjoyed the peace and quiet of the place outside the tourist season. As I said before, the addition of the shower is a real advantage and was certainly worth doing.
